Art Talk With Charlie Groh and Kurt Weston
AN OPEN DISCUSSION ON PHOTOGRAPHY IN THE VIRTUAL WORLD. The discussion will focus on documenting your own artwork for professional presentation. Send Charlie (chasgroh@gmail.com) your question or comments before the meeting starts to get the conversation started.

Topics Covered
1. What equipment?
Phone? Pad? Point and Shoot? DSLR? Discuss…

2. Shoot it
• Light It! Cheap HD lites…reflectors…diffusers
• Keep flat to subject (film plane or sensor)
• Focus and Depth of Field (if applicable)
• Avoid camera shake: Tripod (the world is…) and carrier for phone-cam
• Lens choice (if applicable)

3. Software
• Post processing and necessity for some investment…not just money, but time…
• Luminar, PS Elements, GIMP, Ashampoo
• For correct color display make sure to save in sRGB colorspace.
• Shoot in jpeg (if you shoot RAW you know what you’re doing) so files are SOOC.
• Sizing should be max 2400 x1600 pixels (for a standard 3x2 image) A good rule of thumb is to upload not more than 500 kb per image. Online resizing: JPEGmini.com or Kraken.io
